At the cottages

We are on a continual quest to think of all of the ways we can make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. We welcome guest feedback and use this to further develop package ideas and inclusions. We regularly update and refresh the decor and have a great working relationship with local interior design guru Jen from Decor Made Easy. Tina and Jen could spend hours talking about fabrics! Rachael and her guest services staff ensure that the rooms are prepared to a high standard and are always clean and fresh. It’s likely you will notice something new or different each time you come to stay, either with external developments, internal decor or new inclusions and package offerings. Have a read here to find out what’s the latest.

The wonderful part of being in the Seppeltsfield area is the great collaboration we have with our neighbours! Something as guests you get to share in. For our Winter Warmer package our feature wine is Torbreck Woodcutters Shiraz. We feel this is a very apt wine to be drinking while sitting in front of your cosy wood fire when you stay with us this winter. Torbreck Vintners is not far from the cottages, we highly recommend you drop into their stunning cellar door while you are here.

Native regeneration

Evan has been doing some research at the Barossa Bushgardens, in preparation for the next phase of our planned native plantings. Since 2014, we have planted 3000 native plants around the Stonewell property as part of our commitment to improving the biodiversity of our region and our action to improve the environment This year, we plan to plant another 700-1000 trees, shrubs, bushes, reeds and grasses that are all native to the Barossa.

At the Cottages

There has been a lot of native planting happening at the cottages with Evan and his team planting 1150 Barossa native trees, shrubs, bushes and reeds around the property to help our continuous improvement of the bio diversity of the Stonewell Vineyards and Cottage grounds. In total this will take the native plantings to 4150 Barossa natives over the last 5 years. Giving back to our natural environment is important to us here at Stonewell.

Introducing our new soup and dessert maker – Barossa Street Food. Emily, Ash and Nathan now supply us with the most delicious smoked hock, lentil vegetable soup, or, curried vegetable lentil soup, served with a crusty roll. For dessert, scrumptious sticky date pudding with caramel sauce and Jersey Fresh cream.  You can add this in-room meal to your booking by placing an order through our website.
