Just what the Dr ordered, peace, solitude, fire, food and wine! It was a cold, misty weekend in the Barossa which was the perfect environment for my escape to Stonewell Cottages. Honestly, this was the best equipped accommodation I have ever stayed in. I really didn’t need to leave the cottage! But when there are vines around, one must go out and conquer!
Absolutely breathtaking! Thank you so much Tina and Evan for creating such a beautiful little escape. You truly have thought of everything - from the wine and fully stocked fridge to the cosy firepit Cupid's Cottage was simply gorgeous - so warm, cosy and beautifully presented. It was the perfect place to slow down, relax and simply breathe amongst the vineyards. We loved every minute of our stay and are so grateful for the care and thought you've put into making Cupid's Cottage such a special place. We'll definitely be back!
Our third stay at Cupid's cottage, always delightful, fridge well stocked. Experienced winter this time so looked forward to lighting the fire in the afternoon - so cosy! Appreciated all the extras offered with the "Winter Warmer" package!
From having our morning coffee on the deck overlooking the water and feeding the ducks to sitting around the fire pit at night enjoying the perfectly paired chocolate fudge and Grand Tawny Port, we could not fault our three night stay in the Hideaway Cottage. The cottage is warm and welcoming with everything we expected and more, and the provisions provided were delicious and plentiful. The lunch at FINO was excellent with great food and service. We will definitely return here on our next Barossa trip.
We had a wonderful stay at the Hideaway Cottage. The accommodation was exactly what we needed — peaceful, comfortable, and beautifully set up. The thoughtful touches, including the local produce, really made our stay feel special and welcoming. Communication was excellent and everything was well considered. We would happily stay again and highly recommend it to others looking for a relaxing getaway.
We stayed 3 nights at Hideaway Cottage and had a wonderfully restful time! Our first time to the Barossa and needed a base for exploring. The bed was really comfortable, the shower powerful and lounge area the perfect size with TV included. The kitchen was well equipped for self catering both at breakfast and dinner, including the BBQ. Food packages were ideal size and quality excellent - we couldn’t fault it. All in all well recommended!

Stonewell really does have it all covered. The accommodation at Cupid’s Cottage and the proposal package were so impressive and absolutely worth the money. My partner loved every moment, and it all unfolded exactly as I’d hoped. Thanks to Tina and Evan for making the whole experience exciting, seamless, and stress-free. The cottage was set up perfectly — the fireplace prepared and ready to light, the fridge well stocked for breakfast, everything spotless, and the spa bath was such a treat. Communication was fantastic throughout. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
Outstanding ambience, wonderful and attentive customer service and very well priced for what you get! Was our second time staying here and we’ll certainly want to stay again. Well stocked kitchen and fridge.
We greatly enjoyed our 2 night stay. Excellent pre/during and post communications from the owners. Wonderful location to explore the Barossa. Highly recommend.
