There are lots of great things for your mum to do in the Barossa, a great way to spend this Mother’s Day. Our special “I Love Mum” Package is the perfect way to show how much you appreciate your mum, even if you don’t say it often enough. So why not get together with your siblings, pool the funds and get her something far more impressive than slippers this year! You can book this package for your mum to come stay with us anytime, to enjoy these year round activities in the Barossa. Find out more about this package…

1. Hands on workshops

Your mum can create her very own signature fragrance or natural lip balm at Vasse Virgin Soap Factory. At the JamFactory Craft and Design she can learn how to create her own bespoke piece of jewellery or ceramics or even a knife….should she be in need of one for cooking purposes of course!

2. Chill out

The Endota Day Spa is the ultimate chill out destination. Your mum will feel immediately relaxed on arrival when she is greeted with a calming lavender tea, while talking in the view of the beautiful Barossa ranges. The Organic Relax Massage and Facial will ensure she leaves feeling like a brand new mum (or at least less stressed and smelling of beautiful essential oils!)

3. Find a good spot for a drink

Seppeltsfield Rd Distillers is a must if she is a lover of gin (what mum isn’t?!) The Shiraz Gin made from our very own Stonewell grapes is something like your mum will have never tried before and will leave her dangerously wanting more! Vino Lokal Wine Room and Bar is a great place to drop in for a glass or two of Barossa wine paired with delicious regional bites. For sunset drinks, Bar Louise is the perfect spot with stunning vineyard views.

4. Indulge in delicious local food

The Barossa is the ultimate foodie destination. For all things chocolate (because all mums need chocolate for various different reasons at critical times!) drop into the newly opened Barossa Valley Chocolate Factory. There’s a café with the most decadent chocolate cheesecakes, wine tasting and the “best icecream ever” according to all of the Barossa kids in the know!

Wine paired with creamy gooey cheese – is there anything better? Head to Barossa Valley Cheese Company for cheese tastings. Be sure to sample the Barossa Double Cream and take home some of the most delicious Halloumi to fry up for the breakfast in bed that someone will make mum!

The best regional restaurant dining is here; your mum will be spoilt for choice – Hentley Farm, Appellation and Fino all offer exceptional dining experiences.

5. Enjoy some peace and quiet outdoors

A great walk to get in touch with nature, breathe and enjoy the fresh country air is the Jack Bobridge bike-walk track. Start at St Hallett’s winery and head to St Hugo or Jacob’s Creek (for more wine if needed!)

Like these ideas? Why not give your mum a gift she will really appreciate this Mother’s Day – a stay in the Barossa! Find out more about our special Mother’s Day “I Love Mum” Package or purchase an open-dated gift voucher – another good gift idea!
