Barossa Valley Cheese Company
While working a vintage in Bordeaux as a winemaker, Victoria Glaetzer found her focus moved to the artisan cheese of the area – she learned the art of cheese making and brought her new found passion home to the Barossa. The Barossa Valley Cheese Company opened its doors in March 2003. Since then, the range has expanded to 14 different styles of cheese. The cow and goats milk is sourced from local dairies to produce a beautiful range of hand-made soft white mould, washed rind and fresh style cheeses. Their washed rind cheese has become a specialty, receiving a number of top awards in artisan cheese competitions. The Cheese Cellar is located in the main street of Angaston and there is always a range of cheeses available for tasting. The store also has a range of condiments such as crackers, olives, tapenades to pick up to build your own scrumptious cheese tasting plate.
