Pruning time

Once the vines have become fully dormant it is time to prune them.  Pruning the grape vine tells it how many bunches of grapes you want it to produce.  Because of the way grapevines grow and produce fruit, growers must prune annually. Fruit is only produced on shoots growing from one-year-old canes. Therefore, healthy new canes must be produced every year to maintain annual production of fruit, otherwise each year your yield would diminish.

Join us for Fireside Friday as father/daughter combo, Chelsea Acoustic Duo bring their magic to Lambert Estate.  Chelsea and Matt have been playing together for a several years as an acoustic and vocal duo.  Chelsea’s unique vocals blend well with Matt’s rhythmic guitar playing, allowing them to apply their own interpretation to a range of songs from today’s top 40 and a long list of classic hits.  Matt is an accomplished guitarist, having played in bands since his teens, and has many years of live performance experience.  Whilst completing music studies, Chelsea enjoyed performing in jazz bands, choir and musical theatre. Combining these experiences with gigging in the professional arena, Chelsea has been able to expand her range of musical accomplishments.  A selection of dishes will be available to purchase from the bar along with Lambert Estate wines, a selection of beers and soft drinks.
