Cycling and Walking
The Barossa climate and terrain support a broad range of cycling options, for road cyclists and mountain bike enthusiasts as well as those who want to tour the Barossa at a slower pace and make use of the scenic shared walking and cycling paths. For those who follow the professional cyclists, the “Tour Down Under” goes through the Barossa in January too. Team Barossa, a group of local road riders also welcome visitors on their weekly Sunday rides.
Barossa by bike
There are several bike trails around the Barossa. The scenic Jack Bobridge Track stretches all the way from Tanunda to Gawler and the Barossa Rail Trail links the towns of Tanunda, Nuriootpa and Angaston. Currently under development, the newest bike trail will take you along Seppeltsfield Road with the first 2km completed off-road section extending from Rolf Binder Wines to the Stonewell Road Visitor Information Bay.
